I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (Barcelona) in Sep 2024
Interview
3 steps interview:
First interview with recruiter: Why sales & gartner, behavioural questions answering in STAR method, role play
Second interview: same thing as in the first one but with a lead skill assessor and less structured, more curveballs
Third step: Panel with VP and hiring manager, lots of curveballs, STAR questions customer scenarios
Overall: very thorough and exhausting interview process but I think it was fair and doable. Recruiter was super helpful and invested in my success. They get a lot of bad rap but my recruite was very decent and a good resource overall.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you failed in something. What was the situation and how did you overcome it
They have reached out to me for a job every year and I have interviewed with them 2 times and have never made it past the 1st interview. Confused why a recruiter reaches out to me anymore?
It was long and rigorous, often feeling extremely high pressure, with not a lot of constructive criticism. There are 5 rounds and each with a role-play. It's safe to say this is not an easy interview process. I'm not sure how they do their prospecting, but I was apparently a 'great fit' for the role - didn't show that enthusiasm during our calls.
Intensive - multiple rounds led by a recruiter. Expect 2 rounds of role play, around 4 rounds total. 2 with a recruiter, one with a lead skills expert and another panel with VPs and hiring managers.
