I recently had an interview with a university recruiter in Barcelona , and it was, unfortunately, the most unprofessional experience I have ever encountered. From the very beginning, the recruiter seemed disengaged and uninterested in the conversation. She appeared bored, failed to actively listen to my responses, and repeatedly asked me to repeat myself, which made the interaction incredibly frustrating.
What stood out the most was her lack of preparation. She paused the interview midway to read my CV, which she should have reviewed beforehand. Additionally, at the end of the interview, she accused me of reading from notes, which I was not doing. This baseless accusation felt unprofessional and disrespectful.
Overall, the recruiter demonstrated a complete lack of interest in her role and the candidates she is meant to evaluate. It was shocking to experience such unprofessionalism from an organization of this caliber. I sincerely hope this individual takes a career pause to reflect, as the future of students and candidates should not be in the hands of someone so disengaged.
This experience has left me deeply disappointed, and I hope the organization takes steps to improve its recruitment process to ensure a better experience for future candidates.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Normal behaviour questions, biggest achievement etc
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Gartner (Irving, TX) in Jun 2026
Interview
The first round was a 30-minute recruiter call focused on my background and experience. The second was a one-hour behavioral interview covering the role and company. The final round was one-hour and 30-minutes. The questions were similar to the second round but included a role-play exercise. Throughout the process, a major focus was on coachability and how well I could apply feedback given during the interviews.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you received feedback
Tell me about a time you had to solve a complex problem

I got to the 2nd interview. The first is just a call to see if you match, the second call is an interview with HR based on the STAR method After that there is a 3rd interview with the head of the department + HR resources
I had the first screening so far, waiting to hear ack if they're moving forward with my application. The recruiter was friendly and professional. The questions started easy and as the interview progressed, became a bit more difficult. Questions about real experiences with metrics in previous roles, why Gartner and behaviors questions.
