I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Gartner (Dallas, TX) in Jan 2025
Interview
I was approached by a recruiter via LinkedIn to apply to the SDR role at Gartner in either Dallas, TX or Fort Myers, FL. I responded that I was interested in hearing more about the role, and she responded with a time for an intro call to hear more. We had an intro 30-minute call, and immediately after I received an email saying she would be glad to assist me in the next steps of the process. I was told to respond back with a few times I'd be available for my first real interview. I responded that I would be available that Friday and next Monday, which were around 2-3 days after the intro call. After sending that email, I never heard anything back from the recruiter. I reached out the next day, again, and never got a response. I reached out one more time the following week and never heard anything. What terrible business practices. It sucks because I really enjoyed the idea of the company and the role.
Interview process was great. The expectation was very clear going into the sales pitch interview it and the interviewer provided great insight into the sales training and the path to becoming successful early on
3 stages, involving STAR method, hiring manager 2 rounds and sdr boss final round, learn the gartner product well as well as sales process. Very friendly people and an interesting company to start career.
Introductory interview; they provided a lot of information of the company and role; asked about revelant experience and why you wand to work in sales, what drives you, what motivates you...
