I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (Barcelona) in Feb 2021
Interview
TLDR: Very good experience. They made sure to make me feel comfortable in all steps. Very professional.
1) Talk with the recruiter.
The recruiter was very nice and welcoming. Explained what the company does, asked me about my past experiences and how the hiring process would be.
2) Talk with the Engineering Manager.
High-level technical chat, past experiences, room for questions about the company and the team, and explanation of the next steps.
3) Home test
They send you a repo with requirements in order for the candidate to implement it.
4) Home test evaluation + technical questions
They started doing some questions regarding my solution to understand my decisions. They try to spot some places that could be refactored and they ask you what you think about it.
After that, they start to ask me questions about both general programming knowledge as tech-specific ones.
5) Another round of technical assessment
This one is more relaxed as they give you problems and scenarios and ask you how would you solve a given issue.
6) Chat with VP
As a last step in the hiring process, you will chat with the VP in order to get a broader view of the business and also have space for you to elaborate on my business view of my past companies.
