I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Google (San Jose, CA) in Oct 2021
Interview
The entire process took a little over a month.
0) Resume screening. Make sure to apply with a referral, ideally from someone senior in the product organization.
1) 45 min first round interview with a Google PM/APM. I received analytical questions around a particular Google product (no need to be intimately familiar with it).
2) Written assignment and onsite. The virtual onsite consists of 3, 45 min rounds with Google PMs/APMs covering technical, analytical, and product sense questions. Can't describe the written assignment in detail, but I received a pretty standard prompt in my opinion.
3) Final decision!

Question 1
Cannot describe in detail due to NDA. Google likes to center their questions around their products (again, no need to be intimately familiar with any of them), but they may also base their questions on common apps/services that people use.

Interview
The interviewer was hard to hear over the phone. He asked me about the Google Home and how to improve it. I was anticipating that he would be more conversational and ask more questions; he didnt give me much feedback as I spoke.

What would you do to make the Google Home more accessible to an older population?
