I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Google in Nov 2018
Interview
Initially had a coding sample round, followed by a brief questionnaire and then 2 back-to-back coding technical interviews. The questions were not too tough and I did manage coming up with solutions for both of them, however, got rejected. I guess the standards for this role are incredibly high. The second interviewer was a Chinese guy with a string accent and I had to tell him multiple times to repeat questions or whatever he was trying to convey. He also called up 30 minutes late.
Except for that, I had a great experience. The first interviewer was very friendly. The recruiter was too good to be true. She followed up after each and every round and was absolutely quick in answering my questions. Kudos to her!
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Google (New York, NY) in Nov 2018
Interview
Quick Coding Sample, followed by two phone interviews with engineers Pretty standard stuff, with very little trickery involved. Straightforward, and fair. The phone interviews are very on time, and generally good quality. Second interviewer's voice was muffled, which made it a little more difficult to hear.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Confidential, nothing too hard, algorithms and data structures
The first part after applying online was the Coding Challenge, it asked fairly easy coding questions. The next part was 2 Phone Screen Interviews using google docs. And the final stage is Project/Team Selection.

Question 1
The coding challenge questions were fairly easy, one was string manipulation and the other was based on using basic data structures. The phone screen interview asked how to serialize an n-ary tree.
