I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Google (Sunnyvale, CA) in Oct 2017
Interview
It lasts for about 3 weeks. I am lucky to get the phone interview without having an OA. But I failed at the onsite interview.
It was really unlucky. I have 2 remote interviews out of 4 during the onsite interview. For the first remote interview, I don't even have a laptop to work on and the interview couldn't see my handwriting clearly through the camera. It was not a difficult problem but I was so nervous for being writing and rewriting to fix the font size all the time.
The third one is a remote too. And it's apparently the interviewer didn't get in the room on time or some mistake happens. So they find someone else at home to interview me. I'm watching his bedroom all the time during the interview. But anyway I think I solve the problem at least but I didn't have much left for the follow-up.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Google (Mountain View, CA) in Nov 2017
Interview
The phone interview is quiet easy and low-bar. I did bad but still let me pass that.
Onsite has 3 coding rounds and 1 oo design. Questions are not difficult at all, but you need to be careful about the corner cases. OO design is really import for this position I guess and that's what I fail for.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Google (Pittsburgh, PA) in Nov 2017
Interview
Phone screen interview, ask about algorithm, and data structure. The interview lasts for 40 min but the inerviewee was late for 5 mins. HR first contact me said if I want to turn my previous application into full time application.
