I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Google
Interview
Recruiter round, followed by 1 phone screen followed by a virtual onsite with 5 interviews covering all the usual topics (product strategy, product insight / design, analytical, technical and a bit of googleyness etc).
Design a new version of Google Maps to target the next billion users? (was asked the same thing for Gmail in a Prepfully mock so I used a lot of ideas from there)
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Google (Zürich) in Dec 2017
Interview
There were 5 on-site interviews: one technical interview with an engineer, two interviews on product design, one interview to test analytical skills (I got a question on market sizing) and one director-level interview with a consulting-style strategy case.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Select a product and choose the metrics that you would use to gauge its success.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Google in Jan 2019
Interview
4 interviews plus lunch 'interview', process was very smooth, however two of the interviews was remote which was difficult for me to read and understand the interviewer. The questions are what you will find at the standard PM interview sites however I definitely missed out on market strategy.
