Google Recruitment Coordinator interview questions

Three interviews on general cognitive ability, role related knowledge and googleyness. Overall the experience was fine. I had three separate interviewers. I was really impressed with the offices when I went to interview and I remember just really wanting to work there after the whole experience.

I applied for this role through a staffing agency as a contractor. The interview took about an hour. I logged onto Google Meet and my interviewer walked me through the job description and made sure I was aware that this position would not make me a Google employee, but an employee of the third party staffing firm. Then I had ten minutes to do an assignment in Google Docs. The assignment consisted of proof reading an email and highlighting incorrect details and then drafting an email I would write in the scenario that I gave a candidate the interview time in the wrong time zone. After that we did the interview. I was never asked “tell me about yourself” or about my work experience at all. I was asked about six hypothetical or “tell me about a time…” questions. I can’t remember all of them, just the ones listed below. Overall, I wouldn’t say I had a positive experience. My interviewer didn’t seem interested in my experience or getting to know me at all. I got the impression that he was just typing my answers to forward to someone else, because he didn’t seem to have interest in the interview at all. I never heard back from either Google or the agency, despite following up with the agency.
