I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Google
Interview
I was contacted via a google recruiter to self register for a phone screen interview regarding Technical Program management positions in the area. I self registered, which was a nice tough, but on day of meeting, nobody else joined the call.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Google (San Antonio, TX) in May 2020
Interview
Spoke with recruiters at their request and interest without a reach back out. Felt it was a total waste of my time with really poor communication and follow up from the recruiter. The phone interview seemed to go well and was discussed about next steps but then it was crickets from them after. My current company has a practice that we at the very least close out the interaction even if we find the person wasn’t a good fit. This should even more be the case if the Google recruiters are the ones reaching out versus potential applications doing active search. The actual interview was good but the process and communication was just overall bad. Don’t waste people’s times like this.
