I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Google (Evans, CO) in Jan 2022
Interview
I was contacted by the recruiter. We got a long quite well. He set me up for a screening interview - the person I was to meet with did not show up. He set another interview up and same thing - the person I was supposed to meet with was “busy”. The third attempt again was a bit of a cluster I joined the Google meeting with camera setup and was called on my cell. We had a nice conversation but, I have no hands on technical expertise in wireless. I was turned down for TPM but, recommended to move forward as PM. PM interview was odd. The interviewer joined Google chat while I waited for a call so, I was late. I understand that the questions are a mix of experience and personal evaluation but, asking what does an executive summary presentation look like is fairly open ended. The recruiter notified me that I was not going on in the hiring process and after two months of being recruited hard I’ve heard nothing further. It’s weird as the recruiters start with welcome to your new job at Google in 2022 … and then drop 95% if all candidates do not get an offer.

Question 1
How do you get a project back on track when there are competing priorities?
This process was taxing because it took four months and the job description was not clear. Though, the people I spoke to were lovely and encouraging. The interview consisted of a lot of case questions so brush up on those if you are planning on applying.
There were multiple interviews with different recruiters and different interviewers. Everyone seemed to ask similar questions, at least for me. All interviews were 30 min. or less. Last interview felt rushed and the person flat out said in the middle of the interview that they needed to leave and so I felt rushed so didnt get a chance to ask any questions to them. Felt almost like a check the box without getting a sense of what they expected from me in the role.... didnt get a chance to ask. Didnt receive feedback. Would prefer if they ask questions that might be more relevant to the role as it seemed questioned asked were very generic. See below.... like describe a challenge. As someone with multiple years of experience and being told to rush, it was hard to really know what they wanted to hear. In addition, my last interviewer first 10 min. name dropped FANNG companies they had experience with.....
