Google UX Designer interview questions

It was an interview with a team member (Sr Designer). I was presenting my work (selected projects), and they were asking me some questions about what I presented, plus additional design questions.

The interview process was thorough and well-structured. It began with an initial phone screen with a recruiter, followed by a portfolio review with a designer. Then I was invited to a full-day virtual onsite with multiple rounds, including design exercises, cross-functional interviews (with PMs and engineers), and a leadership & team fit interview. The interviewers were friendly and asked thoughtful questions that evaluated both design thinking and communication skills. They seemed genuinely interested in understanding my process and how I collaborate across teams.
