Two stages - phone call and in person group exercises. Phone call was very generic, asked about why you want to work here, what hours can you do, what experience you have. Exercise involved taking magazine cuttings and creating a vision board to present an idea.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at H&M (London, England) in Oct 2024
Interview
Group interview there was 8 of us .First task was to introduce ourselves to the group we done this by drawing 2 pictures , one which represents us as a person and one which represents how we view fashion. We then got split into pairs and got given 2 activities.
Task 1: got given one of the values and had to explain in our own words what it meant and how we would represent this value in our sales assistant role. Task 2 : got given a customer and had to pick an outfit in our scenario the customer wants an outfit for her retirement party she wants to be unique but not stand out
protip: useful to have the app as you can then show the manager what you would pick
Final part was an individual task , he went around the table 2 x and asked everyone a question quick fire style he just wanted your initial response In a 30 second answer. There was also some more light hearted questions such as what ice cream flavour would you be and the classic if you could invite anyone to a dinner dead or alive who would you bring.
Then we filled in the availability sheet. We got told that we would hear back in 2 weeks over the phone if good news and over email if bad 🤞🏽hoping for a call lmao so I did not got a call I got an email I didn’t get it 😕
The interview was about Real-Life based scenarios and how can an individual handle them. The process contained Multiple Choice Based questions which had time constraints. The overall experience was quite fun and challenging.
