I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at H&M in Nov 2013
Interview
Applied online, got a call back inviting me for an interview a week later. Interview with a floor manager, not too formal or daunting. Prepared by learning about the company, campaigns and values etc. Wasn't asked any impossible questions. Helps to be bubbly and chatty with interviewer, think that's what got me the job more than anything as I had barely any experience. Focus completely on importance of customer service.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at H&M in Aug 2013
Interview
Fill out application online. You are welcome to dress as however you feel comfortable and with whatever reflects your personal style. Within reason of course. No midriff, cleavage, halters, short shorts, etc. Ask general questions about checking out customers, always staying busy, super SUPER fast paced. Forever changing. Be kind. Be courteous. Not a hard process at all. I had interviews I've cried afterwards. This one I walked away with a job (she told me on the spot). A few weeks later she- hiring/assistant manager- quit!
Applied online to UK store and didn't hear anything back for maybe 2 weeks. Got phone call from the store manager and had a short interview asking questions like why h&m, my availability, what do you know about company, previous work experience. Was asked to come in for store interview. Pretty standard questions again why would i be a good fit, experience, availability, what do you know about company how many hours would you work. I was then invited back for a trial shift which included doing delivery, fitting rooms and some sales floor work. Offered job on spot after this.
