I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Hollister Co. (Richmond, VA) in Feb 2010
Interview
I applied on the computer at the store, where at the end of the application, I chose an interview date. The interview was supposed to be a group interview, but I'm the only one who showed up. They basically asked me questions about how outgoing I was, and what I felt about employees stealing clothes (obvious stuff.) They also asked how I felt about diversity. Do your research for that one and a job is guaranteed.
A common question asked in group interview settings is, “What does diversity mean to you?” It's a foundational topic that allows candidates to express their understanding of inclusion, equity, and respect for different perspectives. This question often opens up dialogue around how individuals value unique backgrounds, experiences, and identities in the workplace. It's not just about race or gender—it encompasses cultural, generational, and even cognitive differences. Employers use this to gauge how someone might contribute to a supportive and collaborative environment where everyone feels seen and heard.
The interview was a group interview but it was very easy. Everyone answered the same questions. I applied and was offered an interview within the same week. They choose who they like. Not difficult just don't be weird. There lost their sheen recently though so you should be fine if you don't fit the mold. Is there not 30 words yet this is ridiculous I don't know if I can trust this site
