I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Honeywell (Hyderabad) in Jun 2025
Interview
I received a call from a third-party hiring vendor. They asked some basic questions and informed me that there would be a face-to-face interview at the Honeywell Hyderabad office. I attended the interview, where the HR manager provided an overview of the role. It was a contract-based position under the payroll of the third-party agency. He mentioned that the contract would be for a minimum of 6 months, with the possibility of extension if required.

During the interview, we were asked to build a web application using React and Java Spring Boot. The application needed to take a string input, encrypt it, and then decrypt it when the encrypted message was passed back.
After completing the task, there were a few follow-up technical questions related to React and Spring Boot. While I was comfortable with the React questions, I realized I wasn’t well-prepared for the Spring Boot ones. I believe that was the main reason for not being selected.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Honeywell (United States Air Force Acad, CO) in Apr 2025
Interview
Communication from the recruitment department was non-responsive to anything other than scheduling calls. They never responded to questions. I had interviewers no-show and others cancelled at the last moment without explanation.
At one point, after not hearing for weeks, the recruiter told me that the position had been filled, then reached back to me a couple of days later to say that it was open again.
I think the recruiter probably told them not to hire me because I asked a lot of questions about the process and annoyed them too much, but it was pretty much being ghosted with no information or guidance.
