I got a code assessment to do on hackerank which i wasnt familiar with and got stuck on how to access the data. wish it was just as if you were reading a file instead of all the input stuff
I applied in-person. I interviewed at IBM (Sasarām) in Sep 2020
Interview
Starting with basic concepts of data science important topics of machine learning , nlp and basic deep learning questions, topics like loss function , optimizer are quite often asked, basic machine learning algorithms can be considered more handy .
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What do you understand about stochastic gradient descent?
I applied online and then a couple months later received an invitation to take a technical screening test. First IBM sends a couple screening tests to test aptitude -- these are in the form of games (click bubbles to add to a certain number, find the shortest path), overall pretty fun but fast-paced.
I personally had a very poor impression of the technical screen. The questions are challenging, a bit more suited towards SWE.

Question 1
One question related to python (manipulating strings of numbers or letters) and one question related to SQL (you have a database, show rows that meet this condition).
