I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IBM (Boston, MA) in Sep 2013
Interview
Applied Online after a colleague referred me.
Recruiter called and talked about the position etc and set up a Technical/Screening interview. Technical interview wasn't very technical, just wanted me to walk him through my resume. If you pass this, they'll set up an onsite interview. They will have you pick a day and fly you out for an "Interview day".

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at IBM in Jun 2012
Interview
Initially I was contacted by an IBM HR contractor who conducted the initial phone screening and first interview setup. First interview consisted of a 30 minute technical phone screening. The interviewer was a regular employee who had far less experience than I had. Thus, the questions were very easy and the interview ended early. Second interview was another technical phone screen from a manager interested in adding me to his project.
