I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Indeed (Austin, TX) in Dec 2016
Interview
I applied through college. I finished an data analysis assignment first then invited to on-site interview. Six rounds total, SQL, Coding, data analysis, data visualization. Interviews are very nice.
I applied the position in NYC on indeed website and got the phone call from Indeed technical recruiter right on the second day. The recruiter was really nice and helpful, got me prepared for the whole interview process. The first thing I got is a small dataset challenge. Three easy questions and two bonus questions. You might need make some data visualization for this challenge as well. After I passed this, it was a online coding interview. It was performed on Hackerrank(this is a good website for people to practice technical interviews). This was my first time to get a technical interview. One hour with two parts on Python and SQL. Python question was easy for me but SQL was harder. Finally I got passed even though I had provided the right solutions. My advice is that SQL is valued more than other technical skills when comes to DA/BA.
