I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Indeed (San Mateo, CA) in Sep 2016
Interview
I was contacted by a Recruiter for an initial phone screen, which took about 15-20 minutes and consisted of the typical basic questions to get to know my background and what I'm looking for. Afterwards, I had an on-site interview where I met with the hiring manager and the regional director. I met with the two of them separately and the interview took about an hour total. I did not hear anything afterwards so I followed up with the Recruiter. I ended up having a short phone call with her in which she informed me they had chosen another candidate, but would like to stay in touch. I thought it was great that this was done over the phone as it was more personal. Everyone I interacted with throughout the interview process was pleasant and informative. The interviews were definitely more conversational, which was something I enjoyed. I felt like they took their time to get to know me and am happy they found the right candidate for this role.
