I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Indeed in Dec 2021
Interview
The interview process had an initial screening round which is an hour video interview call. They asked one easy-medium Data structure problem and some case study to test our understanding on some metrics and our though process. After I successfully completed this, I had a final interview that had around 4 rounds .
The final interview in my view seemed to have went well as, I pretty much answered all questions but, any how I didn't get selected. The issue that I had with this interview is that the role I was first contacted to be interviewed for is a Product Developer role. I got an email from Indeed after four days of the final interview saying that I have not been selected for Research Engineer Level II role. I wish I had a better understanding from them on the role and their expectation because this is really confusing. I emailed the HR as well for this clarification, but they never replied back which I see as a negative here. I feel that they owe me an explanation on this confusion regarding the role as I'm left out thinking what might have happened back there. When I am spending this amount of time on getting interviewed, I would at least like to know why this confusion happened in the first place.

Question 1
Final interview process:
Two coding rounds on Data Structures and Algo's(I solved both of them)
Two case study rounds which are pretty similar in some ways which would test our thought process on a product.

Could tell that they did not read my C.V and had little interest in me. Looked like it was a training exercise as felt the questions were going through the motions.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Indeed
Interview
Recruiter reached out to me after applying and we had a nice conversation. I was asked to meet with a team member virtually for a first interview and thought we had a really good conversation, but a week and a half later the recruiter informed me they were moving forward with a more experienced candidate. Team seemed great and I got the sense that Indeed really walks the walk when it comes to the candidate and employee experience. The process was transparent and the recruiter let me know I wasn’t moving on by calling me personally vs. sending a form email. I appreciated that! If I were to find myself looking again in the future, I wouldn’t hesitate to reapply to Indeed.
