I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Indeed in Feb 2021
Interview
Was reached out by recruiter and we set up initial phone screen. I was interviewed by a 3rd party entity. The process was organized and was very well timed. They expect you to run all their test cases before moving onto the next question
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They expect you to solve 3 medium level leetcode question in 45 mins with all the test cases passed and running. They do not move to next question until all the test cases are passed. I was only able to solve two. The questions are same as #indeed tag on leetcode
1. sliding window and 2. subdomain count

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Indeed in Sep 2021
Interview
1. I applied online, and a recruiter reached out to schedule the initial call
2. The recruiter ended up transferring the call to someone else
3. The phone call was pretty standard in terms of questions asked. However, the recruiter barely let me get a word in to answer. He kept cutting me off and talking about himself. Overall very disappointed with how this call was led.
4. I never heard back from them. I followed up after the call and again the next week. It has now been over a month so it's safe to say they ghosted. Honestly very disappointed they couldn't even send a rejection follow-up email.

Question 1

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Indeed in Oct 2021
Interview
I applied online and was contacted by recruiter who informed me that the position I applied for was already getting filled but there was another one opening up which might be a good fit. We briefly discussed the new position and I agreed to proceed with it so I was setup with 2 rounds of interview, 1 system design and 1 resume deep dive with the hiring manager.
The system design interview was ok, but after that everything went downhill. The hiring manager showed up for the interview and seemed very reluctant to take the interview. He did not do any deep dive on the resume just asked some basic questions. When it came time for providing more details about the role, he painted a negative picture even going to the extent that he was not sure if this product for which the role was was even going to be successful or make money for Indeed. I kind of knew where this will lead to but was expecting a professional closing for the application. Instead I was ghosted even after following up with the recruiter. So much for a company who makes money selling SaaS for job posting and hiring.
Thank you for taking the time to write your review about your recent interview with us.
