I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Indeed (Austin, TX) in Jun 2019
Interview
Four back to back 30-minute interviews with Director level Sales guys. And let's be clear, this place is *brotastic*. The first two interviews were fine, but they all asked the same questions, which was a little strange. Are you comparing my answers? It seemed like an interrogation more than an interview. The third interviewer was straight up hostile. Every response I gave elicited a grunt of recognition. When he wasn't mono-syllabic, he was condescending. After that experience, he stepped out of the room, and then it was time for my mock call. I was thrown by his behavior already, but I was told the Senior VP would be making the mock call with me. It was the third guy. And to be fair to him, if it was an exercise to see how I performed under pressure, I didn't do well. After that call, the Senior VP did come into talk to me. At that point, I assume they had made up their minds since he spoke to me for about 5 minutes and then walked me to the elevator.
Bottom line, this is a tough interview. Be sure you want to make 100+ calls a day in a very critical environment. My recruiter told me to "study up" and learn about the company. I probably shouldn't have focused so much on that, and worked more on the cold call.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Indeed (Dublin, Dublin) in Jun 2019
Interview
The interview was well organised. The recruiter contacted me few times to make sure I was prepared and if I had any other questions. Great experience overall I received lots of support from the recruiter.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
More than questions the interview was set up as discussion/ conversation. How much I knew about Indeed and products.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Indeed (Tokio) in May 2019
Interview
Two interviews: One for a UX Developer, one for a Front End Engineer position..
The first interview was not for the position I wanted, but I agreed to go through the process.
The stages were:
1. Phone screening.
2. 1-on-1 phone manager interview.
3. Take home project (medium difficulty, 7 days allowed to complete).
4. A full day on-campus being interviewed (5 different sessions).
After the first interview, Indeed indicated that they would pursue some local candidates instead (no real reasons for the "no" other than perhaps saving money with Visa/relocation). However, they extended an invitation to interview for the Front End Engineer role, which I was actually wanting anyway. Same process as above, but skip the project.
After another all-day on-site interview, Indeed again indicated that they would pursue another candidate. The only feedback was that I needed "more initiative in the coding sections" which doesn't make sense since I drove the coding sections myself (as one does in an interview).
So overall, 2 months of time spent with only ephemeral feedbacks; I strongly suspect the real reasons were cost of relocation & Visa.
