I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Indeed
Interview
Contacted by recruiter initially. Cleared phone interview which seemed average difficulty. Onsite was full day process with 2 people per interview round (for most of rounds). The interviews ranged from whiteboard sessions, code review session, hackerrank problem, design interview, and resume deep dive. People seemed happy, and overall process went smooth. I was contacted next day by recruiter that although feedback was positive, the hiring managers couldn't extend an offer due to missing wow factor - god knows what that means.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Indeed (Austin, TX) in Jul 2016
Interview
Long, arduous and with too many people. It felt also as though the process was very improvised. I hate to say this but it didn't feel very professional. I think that the decision making was not based on skills but on personality. I fared well, but I often wonder and worry about anyone who could be deemed as "not being a good fit". The managers are young and very inexperienced.

Question 1
Technical, I was asked how to solve problems, some statistical calculations and I was also tested on my translation and language abilities.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Indeed (Austin, TX) in Mar 2018
Interview
Phone screen, hackerrank coding challenge, coding technical interview, then onsite.
Onsite was ~6 hours of interviews, mostly whiteboarding algorithms but also some system level debugging. They fed me their cafeteria food (which was okay) and let me grab anything from their snack/drink stocks (a wonderful selection). Most interviewers were quite attentive, though the guy for my last interview was clearly tired. They helped me out when I needed a push but also let me do things my own way.
Phone interviews were started within 5 minutes of the scheduled time. They flew me out to Austin with a direct flight and booked me a king sized bed. They gave me a transportation fee stipend (for Uber, etc) and a food stipend.
The recruiting team was probably the best part. They were flexible and worked with me to make the process easier. The coordinator for my onsite was fantastic and also showed me around the facility.
Several days later, I got a message saying they were moving forward with me. We scheduled a time to discuss the offer, one which surpassed my expectations. I will start working with them soon.
My impression is that Indeed is currently trying to up its game and compete with the big dogs for talented employees. That's great because this means very competitive pay and good amenities for engineers.
