Question 1
What were challenges that you faced in your current project?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Indeed (New York, NY) in Nov 2017
Interview
Applied from out of town. First call with recruiter. Then subsequent calls with hiring manager and boss of hiring manager. Final meeting in person with other members of team and lunch with managers (all expenses paid). Overall process took 3+ weeks. Relatively smooth and straightforward. Although HR asks many intimate, potentially illegal interview questions unrelated to skills necessary for the job. They were going to extend an offer, but stopped short because immigration lawyers decided against helping me obtain working status - bummer as we both knew this was necessary at the beginning of the process. Ended up in complete waste of time on both sides.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Indeed
Interview
The interview process was lengthy but thorough. I had a phone screening with a recruiter, an interview with a hiring manager, an on-site presentation and several interviews with members of the team, a follow-up interview with the hiring manager, and a final interview with the director of the department.
In total, it was about 8 separate interviews + 1 presentation/project.
