Interview
I applied for the position and two weeks later got an email from a recruiter asking to schedule a phone call.
The phone interview was quite easy and nice. The recruiter was friendly and asked questions about my past experience, spheres of interest, and expectations. They also told about the position and the company. At the end of our conversation, the recruiter told they would contact their manager and come back to me "early next week" to inform about the next steps.
Unfortunately, they did not. After my two reminders, three weeks later, the recruiter emailed me saying I was not short-listed for the next round of the interview process. Meanwhile, the position ad was removed. It looked like they needed time to complete recruiting of some candidate, and I was there just in case.
The experience would not be so unpleasant if the recruiter was courageous enough to say "we need two more weeks to make a decision" or did not ignore my reminders.

Question 1
Will it be fine for you to go to Stamford, NY for a training which all the employees need to receive at the beginning?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Indeed (New York, NY) in Mar 2016
Interview
First round was a 30 minute phone behavioral with a recruiter. Moved to second round- behavioral with the hiring manager on-site. Beautiful office space. Very friendly, talked about the bigger picture moving forward. Half way through round two, we brought a senior analyst in for a round of technical questions. Very engaged and excited about the future of the firm. Final round was mostly behavioral with a senior manager. Very professional, open communication the entire time.Definitely recommend.

1 Skype Interview, 2 phone Interviews
After about a week (from the last phone interview) I received a phone call telling telling me they chose a stronger candidate. When I asked for feedback on why the other candidate was stronger she gave me a list of what I think are confusing and inaccurate reasons for not hiring me. For the time and effort I spent pursuing this opporutnity, I am disappointed they couldn't be a little more accurate and considerate with their feedback.
