I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Infosys (Bengaluru) in Sep 2014
Interview
It was part of a mass recruitment and got to know about it through my college. There were two rounds. The first round was an online test. It consisted of quant, verbal as well as logical. It was pretty easy. The second round was a technical cum HR round and it was pretty easy too. The results were announced the same day.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Infosys (Chennai) in Sep 2015
Interview
They came to conduct campus placements in our college. First round was on verbal+quant+reasoning which was very easy, around 800 students appeared for it and round 200 people cleared it, I was among them. Most of the students didn't perform well in verbal, so that was the major criteria for rejection of many students for second round. Then we were told to come for second round which was a Technical+HR interview, the next day.
Mine was the first interview of the day. The interview was very pleasant. He asked me about OOPs concepts, C programming concepts like structures, arrays etc., some questions from Java, latest trends in IT, asked me to explain my projects, asked me about my favorite subjects and a few other HR questions. I answered all the questions very well (according to me). Then in the evening the results were announced and I couldn't make it through. I was very confident about the selection as I have good English skills and technical skills and also, I answered all the questions fairly. I don't know what else was the interviewer looking for. Seeing many people who don't know a thing in computer science, and were slugging through the entire B.Tech, copied all their projects, and don't even have good communication skills getting placed, made me feel like either I was doomed that day or they were on pot and made selection by picking chits from bowls.
