I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Infosys (Bengaluru) in Jan 2012
Interview
The process was simple and i had a couple of rounds of technical discussion and a HR round.
In the technical discussion the questions were of equal proportions of technical and process related.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Infosys (Kolkata) in Sep 2016
Interview
I have an experience of 3 yrs 8 months and was screened for the position of technology analyst. The interview was for Bangalore location and took place in Calcutta. The first round was a 2:1 face to face interview which lasted for about 40 minutes. This was thoroughly technical and I was grilled from every aspect of core java. I answered about 80% of them.
I cleared the first round and was sent for the second round which was semi technical and semi managerial. This was a 2:1 round too.The manager started out on a rude and condescending tone as to how he could have rejected me and I am unfit for the role of a developer and I can just be fitted into a support role. Not meaning to insult any role or position, I was quite shocked at the way he was speaking to me. I never knew manager/ senior managers at a reputed MNC could speak to a candidate in that way. He was not interested in listening to what I had to say or explain the way my current process in my current organization works. He kept on imposing what he felt was the process that my project should be following(!!!) At one point of time, I felt like walking out since that would have been rude.In between asking leadership based questions and DBA related questions( which is not at all my area), the manager kept on repeating how he did not reject my profile! At the end of the long 45 minutes, I was asked to wait but not tell anyone what my status was regarding the interview. I was specifically mentioned not to utter anything once I go back to the waiting area. This felt quite strange.
After a 2 hr wait I was asked to meet the HR. The lady told me that the job location is going to be Bhubaneshwar and not Bangalore. On letting her know that I had applied specifically for Bangalore, she informed that there was nothing she could do about it. She also added that I fall in the margin between Senior Systems Engineer and Technology Analyst. They are going to take me in for the Senior Systems Engineer and promote me once I get into the organization and the raise that I was offered was 2.86%, which I rejected straightaway.
The entire interview process seemed puzzling. I could not understand one simple thing, that if they were not to take me, why did they keep me till the last round? Or is it that Infosys calls in candidates just for insulting people? The job location changes, the raise is appalling. I never had a more demoralizing and negative experience before and hope not to get one in future.
