I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Intel Corporation (Bengaluru) in Feb 2019
Interview
Interview questions were basic. The sort of things one should know if they have worked on automation testing. Interviewers were polite.
The process was chaotic though. With the exception of the first round of phone interview, all the F2F interviews were scheduled in a weird way. Twice I was asked to turn up for the F2F discussions within hours of their call. Their HR didn't mail me an invite once (Apparently sent it to the wrong person) and one time, after setting the interview date for 2 days down the line, the hiring manager calls me up an hour later and asks me to turn up for the interview that date itself (He mentioned some news of a possible hiring freeze) but , post the final round while he was gushing about being very happy with how the discussions went he mentioned that more people were being interviewed till the coming Friday, so, I honestly didn't understand why he rushed me when my interview was originally scheduled for Thursday. The interviews went great, the manager seemed happy too and we discussed my notice period etc and he said I should be receiving a final call from HR regarding the interview results and other formalities.
Well,a week went by and I didn't hear anything. I reached out to the manager and he said the process was still going on (??) and he will keep me updated. I was very disappointed because from the interviews and the manager's response it seemed like I was a sure shot for that role. I started interviewing elsewhere and landed another job and handed in my papers. I reached out to the Intel manager about a month later asking if there were any updates and that I was serving my notice period so was available to join earlier than initially planned. Only then did he mention that a hiring freeze was in place and said he would keep me posted.Well, he never did and I joined the other company.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Intel Corporation (Santa Barbara, CA) in Oct 2017
Interview
Multiple stage phone interviews after a generic online application. Employees have the chance to refer people, which will pretty much guarantee you with an interview. Questions focused largely on the aspects of your resume that they want to know about so don't give away everything in your resume.
