I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Intel Corporation (Mesa, AZ)
Interview
The first round of the interview process often serves as a screening phase where candidates are evaluated to determine if they possess the basic qualifications and technical skills required for the role. Given that the panel consists of two Intel engineers, candidates can expect a focus on technical prowess and problem-solving abilities.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Can you discuss a particularly challenging project you worked on, the obstacles you faced, and how you overcame them?
Three technical rounds, coding rounds that involve some leetcode questions in various difficulty levels
Then hr round with recruiter for non technical discussion
The interviewers were not from same team
Initial screening and then team panel style interview. Questions were very specific to the team. Asked a lot of conceptual questions (i.e. how do computers work from a hardware level)

Interview
The Intel interview process for software or engineering roles usually has 4–6 stages. The exact number may vary by role (software, hardware, research, etc.), but the overall structure is similar
1. Application / Resume Screening
First, you apply through the Intel careers portal or via campus placement. Recruiters review your resume to check your qualifications, skills, and project experience. Only shortlisted candidates move to the next stage.
2. Online Assessment (sometimes conducted)
Some roles require an online test before interviews. This may include:
• Aptitude questions (logical, numerical, verbal reasoning)
• Coding questions
• Basic computer science questions
The goal is to test analytical thinking and programming skills.
3. Recruiter / HR Phone Screening
This is usually a 30–45 minute call with a recruiter or HR representative. They discuss:
• Your background and education
• Skills and programming languages
• Your interest in Intel
• Salary expectations
It mainly checks whether you are a good fit before technical interviews.
4. Technical Interview Round(s)
This is the most important stage.
