I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kapsch (Austin, TX) in Apr 2020
Interview
1) Speak to a recruiter for some basic housekeeping questions.
2) 1 hour Logical/Aptitude test which is very basic and vaguely relevant to the role.
3) Speak with the team lead on past experience, what you're looking for in your next role.
4) Technical interview with the team lead and two other members from the team.
5) Take-home project to be completed in a few hours.
One of the recruiters I spoke to was very disinterested and sounded tired whereas the other recruiter who coordinated the process was good.
The aptitude test could have been avoided altogether.
The technical team was very respectful and asked good questions.
The take-home project was a very nice way to evaluate a candidate.
Overall, the process was pretty lengthy, some rounds could be avoided and some could be clubbed together to save time. The most disappointing thing was the recruiter never got back with the results despite following up multiple times. The company should at least value a candidate's time and provide closure on the results.
