Interview
I applied through their website and a few weeks later I got an email from the HR in the Gurgaon office. We got on a call the next day where she asked me about myself and my background and setup the first round of interview.
There were 3 rounds of case interviews which also included fit questions. The I interview process was a huge learning experience in itself.

Interview
I met with the team on a conference job fair (INFORMS) and got an interview the next day. During the first interview, they asked behavioral questions and a case study. They were both very friendly and nice which made me more interested in the company.
I was contacted for an on-site interview the next week. HR was very helpful and accommodating through the entire process. They assigned me an "interview buddy". She helped me getting familiar with the interview process and pointed out some key factors they are mostly interested in.
The on-site interview was pretty difficult! In the morning of the interview day, I met other candidates (there were 7 of us) which I believe wasn't helpful! One of them was trying to shatter other's confidence constantly. Then we met with HR and had a short welcome session. Then we were brought to separate rooms.
The first task was a 1-hour Excel test. Although I practiced a lot, still struggled with answering the questions. There were 2 problems with 4-5 questions. The level of analysis was pretty difficult for a 1-hour time limit.
Next, I had 3, 1:1 interviews with managers and senior analysts. They were all friendly and helpful. Mostly behavioral and case study questions. Next was lunch with all candidates and interviewers. At last, I was given a 1 hour 20 minutes time to prepare a presentation about a business problem. This part was the most difficult specially after a long day of interviews.
Overall, I had a great experience with ATKearney. It was really heart breaking that I didn't get an offer. I really like to work there since what they do there matches my background and interest perfectly. Maybe in future I apply again and hopefully this time I do a better job in the interview.
