Through the process of 2 job interviews, the first of them was fermi assumption and the second one was case interview. Both interviewers are kind enough to be all ears with my explaination
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Kearney (Mailand) in Jun 2020
Interview
Had a first round interview with 2 HR. As expected the interview was mainly behavioral, with few general question about background and couple of high level technical questions. They did not answer to any questions about the role. Second roud was with an associate. He started the interview in italian and then he suddenly switched to english while he was presenting me with the business case. The business case was pretty standard: evaluating if it was worth for a magazine company to start a new sport magazine. During the analysis, I felt that he did not care too much about my answers. It look like he had a solution in mind already and he wanted me to stick to that. After the interview, he promised he would have gotten back to me in about 2 weeks. I followed up multiple times with him, and with the HR i had the first interview with, no answers. After 4 months, I got a call from a random HR working for the same company, letting me know that they would not proceed with an offer and that i should have been better prepared for the interview. Not disputing their judgement about the interview (after all, i had no experience at all and that was for an internship role) but i found it pretty rude to disappear for four month, no answers and letting me know that i should have prepared that interview, without any reference to source i could use, and utmost without any mention of what exactly went wrong during that interview, which is something that the person who called me for sure didn't know.
