Firstly applied online then week later received a telephone call by the recruitment team asking questions on my CV and other questions for example why I want to work here and what I know about the company and animal testing.
A week later I had an email to attend for an interview, a panel of 4 people were supposed to interview me for the trainee position, only 2 people interviewed me.
As I arrived went through security then to the reception. The lady who interviewed me took me to the separate histology building, about 3 minutes walk. At that time was able to tell I wasn't the right candidate, her first impression wasn't good. I tried to build rapport which did help a bit. Don't know what kind of person they are looking for. I think she probably made her decision then.
The interview began by being shown around the lab to see the histology process, then face to face interview with the same lady who initially took me to the building, with another member of staff. During the interview they were very over enthusiastic and excitedly jotting down my answers, probably didn't want to give me a false impression. The interview including the lab tour took 1 hour in total. The staff there seemed very nice.
It was a complete waste of time, travelled far, would have been better not to attend this interview.
