Interview
During the Skype interview, they did not have my resume and it was very clear from the questions that they were asking, that they had not read my resume. I had the feeling that they had someone else chosen for the position. It was incredibly amateurish. Questions included whether or not I spoke German, a requirement for the job, and they seemed surprised when I answered in German, despite my resume having included previous employment in Germany and German English translation experience. They didn't ask for any references, they couldn't answer questions I asked about the company and position such as benefits information, and how specifically they are going to tailor their services to the American consumer. I got the very strong feeling that they only want ethnic Germans in the management level since they kept questioning my connections to Germany, rather than any relevant experience pertaining to the job. I was then told that they would get back to me in 2 days after they were done interviewing and received a near instantaneous cut and paste email that spelled my name wrong 5 minutes after the interview stating that "after careful consideration" they were not going forward with my application.
