Question 1
why do you want to work for Lidl?
can you name several Lidl private label products?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Lidl (Sunderland, North East England, England) in Sep 2016
Interview
The process was pretty straight forward. It consisted of a short telephone interview, and then an in-store trial, and a brief chat.
For me the trial was roughly 1 hour and involved tidying shelves and organising stock. The brief chat afterwards was mostly about my CV. It took 4 days to hear back, although this was because I chased them for a response due to the close start date.
I requested feedback on several occasions, which was promised but never given. Also, I believe that the work trial was essentially free labour, as in the chat afterwards, the lack of questions regarding the role/experience made me think they had already made the decision not to employ me.
If there are other opportunities, I would not recommend applying for Lidl.
