I applied for a role at Lidl via LinkedIn and was invited to a phone interview. The call itself was positive and professional, and I was told I would hear back by the end of the week via phone or email. Unfortunately, I never received any follow-up communication.
While I understand that hiring processes can be busy, the lack of any response after setting an expectation was disappointing and felt unprofessional. A simple update or rejection email would have been appreciated and would have reflected better on the candidate experience.
