I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lidl (Plymouth, England) in Apr 2016
Interview
Group interview and work trial. They fib a presentation about lidl and then give one to one interviews and Whilst you are waiting you fill out a maths test and personality test. If successful in the interview you go for a work trial, I had to check the fruit and veg for any that looked bad and chuck them away and got a tour of the shop.
Very straightforward process.
One person interviewed me and asked a few questions.
Did not last more than an hour, if that.
I had one interview and then an offer was made.
Phone interview and then in person interview. Pretty quick and easy and doesn’t take long to hear back. Questions are pretty standard like ‘why Lidl?’ and ‘what’s your favourite item we sell’. Also a few scenario based questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Lidl (Cardiff, Wales) in Jan 2026
Interview
Really nice manager and chill atmosphere. Didn't ask me any scenario based questions or any that I had to provide a "star" like paragraph; more focused on how prepared/ committed/ able you are to do a lot of work.
