Very straightforward process.
One person interviewed me and asked a few questions.
Did not last more than an hour, if that.
I had one interview and then an offer was made.
The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Lidl (Weston-super-Mare, England) in Oct 2017
Interview
I applied online, completed the online assessment didn't complete all the questions in time :/ so I thought there and then I hadn't got it. However, after forgetting I applied I received a phone call a week later asking me to attend an interview. Extremely easy going interview very relaxed. Interviewer sat on the table while I had the chair. Was only one person, the email had told me it would be 2. But she was very lovely, very welcoming, basic questions but definitely do some practise. I was told I'd be contacted 2 days later. So when I didn't I thought I hadn't got the job and then on the 3rd day after my interview received a phone call offering me the job!
Phone interview and then in person interview. Pretty quick and easy and doesn’t take long to hear back. Questions are pretty standard like ‘why Lidl?’ and ‘what’s your favourite item we sell’. Also a few scenario based questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Lidl (Cardiff, Wales) in Jan 2026
Interview
Really nice manager and chill atmosphere. Didn't ask me any scenario based questions or any that I had to provide a "star" like paragraph; more focused on how prepared/ committed/ able you are to do a lot of work.
