      Deputy Manager Interview

      Aug 16, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Aberdeen, Schottland
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Lidl (Aberdeen, Schottland) in Aug 2018

      Interview

Applied online, had a telephone conversation with the Recruitment Manager then told I’d be advanced to the next stage. Took almost a month to get to the assessment centre which consisted of three parts. Part One: a “debate”which after the excercise we were told we should have argued with each other more. Next part was a role play which was fine, last stage was interview. Again easy. Next day the Recruitment Manager called to say I’d failed the assessment centre. Despite getting maximum scores in two out of the three parts because I’d underperformed in the first part I failed overall. Rather than telling me after the first exercise I was made to do all of the assessments despite them knowing I’d failed assessment one! Negative experience overall.
