I applied online. I interviewed at Lidl (Walkinstown) in Sep 2019
Interview
Went for an interview for 2:30 did not get taken in till 3:15, straight away management was given off a snobby attitude and looked down on me from the start, did not greet me at all. Pointed out that I was 19 over 5 times in a 10 minute interview that I would not be able to commit as I am too young and that I still would not know what to do with my life yet. I considered myself still a customer at the point of an interview and with the way I was treated and looked down on I do not think they have any respect for any customer that shops in this store. They are too snobby to any body but themselves and look down on people from the moment they see/meet them. One of the management staff had the audacity to walk out mid interview while I was explaining of why I have applied for the job still at this point of the interview I continued on and tried to be polite but I was getting 0 respect or a hint of like they wore interested in even listening. Management is to far up there own a** to care about any customer that shops in this store they only care about there paycheck.
The interview process was professional and well structured, with clear communication throughout. The interviewer explained the role, responsibilities, and expectations. Questions were relevant and focused. Overall, the discussion was respectful and informative, providing a clear understanding of the position and the company’s working environment.
Fairly straightforward interview. They only asked my five questions, around my personality in working environment and previous experience. I didn't have retail experience but worked in cafe which was similar enough.
