Group "interview" testing teamwork scenarios and general store events. Precursor online assessment gave similar scenarios but in-person element tests practical skills.
Process covered more events in limited depth as day-to-day role can be quick to change.

Question 1
Tested via roleplays including how one would deal with problematic customers, spillages etc.
Very straightforward process.
One person interviewed me and asked a few questions.
Did not last more than an hour, if that.
I had one interview and then an offer was made.
Phone interview and then in person interview. Pretty quick and easy and doesn’t take long to hear back. Questions are pretty standard like ‘why Lidl?’ and ‘what’s your favourite item we sell’. Also a few scenario based questions.

Really nice manager and chill atmosphere. Didn't ask me any scenario based questions or any that I had to provide a "star" like paragraph; more focused on how prepared/ committed/ able you are to do a lot of work.
