I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lloyds Banking Group (Edinburgh, Schottland) in Jun 2022
Interview
The interview was 30 minutes on Zoom and consisted of values & competency based questions. I was asked no more than 5 questions. There were 2 interviewers, both of whom were lead engineers. Unfortunately, they both gave off a very “I cannot be bothered to be here” impression. They barely looked at me whilst I spoke and seemed distracted. One even stopped to talk to a colleague. I wasn’t the only one with a bad experience. A colleague of mine was scheduled for the same interview, waited 15 minutes for it to start and no one turned up. He had to contact the hiring manager only to find out both interviewers were in a meeting that was running late and decided to abandon his interview…and give no notice. Unbelievably unprofessional - I dodged a bullet.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lloyds Banking Group (Mumbai) in Nov 2023
Interview
Cleared the technical interview, which lasted for about a hour, where i was asked a bunch of sql questions and bigdata, but was rejected before the HR interview as i was a fresher.

I interviewed at Lloyds Banking Group (Bristol, England)
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter by email. They were asking me where I was based and whether I was happy to commute or relocate. I responded and said my goal was to relocate, that I have family living locally and that I will happily go into the office twice a week as required. I didn't hear back from the recruiter since and received a rejection email today. The fact that a recruiter contacted me about this suggests my application was of interest. The fact that I didn't hear back following that suggests that a decision was made based on this. Making a decision based on a candidate's address is considered discrimination. My location is confidential information and is irrelevant to my application as long as I agree to go to the office as required. I should not have to disclose this.
