I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Glasgow, Schottland) in Apr 2015
Interview
I was contacted by one of their HR people who found my CV online. Apparently they prefer to recruit themselves rather than use an agency.
I was asked if i could do a telephone interview and they refused to give any job details beyond the fact that my CV made me suitable for the job. In the telephone interview within the next few days i was given the job spec and discussed the company and what they were looking for. A face to face interview was arranged at their offices.
At the interview neither of the interviewers were the people i had spoken to previously and they had no idea about me, my CV, or anything discussed previously such as the fact i was coming from an academic background and was not experienced in professional development. They were very friendly though and it was an enjoyable interview in which we discussed myself and their company and what they were looking for in the role.
Despite the assurances of the recruiter and phone interviewer i was not suited to the role. When i asked what their plans for training were they struggled to give an answer.

I applied online. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Fort Worth, TX) in May 2026
Interview
It was easy. They asked me very basic questions like what is a stack. Before that, there was a phone screen which they just asked me to tell me about myself, etc.
Primarily Behavioral. Walked through my resume and asked questions about coursework and what languages I was comfortable in. Did not ask me anything too technical, instead just asked questions about my projects and experiences.
