I applied in-person. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Idaho City, ID) in Aug 2025
Interview
It was fast and straight forward. The employee that I initially talked to was welcoming. Then they went to get the hiring manager and we had a conversation to get to know each other. After we talked about the position we discussed next steps.
Quick interview process and the questions were base on the SMART questions, but at the same time very relaxed. I went through a recruiter first and then spoke with Lowe’s recruiter. I will say what was told by the outside recruiter as far as the job requirements were different then what the actual job is. Which they definitely need to work on.

Question 1
How were you able to navigate a difficult time where things didn’t come out as you expected.
I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Mooresville, NC)
Interview
Probably the worst interview process I have ever experienced. The process consisted of no less than 6 rounds of interviews, including some panels. It seems that they need sign off on candidates at every level up to the executive in the department. After dedicating almost 2 months to the lengthy process, I was disappointed that I was not even afforded the common decency of being notified that they were going with another candidate. Ironically, I found out that I was no longer in the running when the chosen candidate indicated that they had started the job via LinkedIn.
I believe the entire process is performative and designed to mask inherent biases in the process.
