I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Avon, OH)
Interview
Applied online and was called for an interview within a couple days. Met with the HR person who briefly described the position, said she was looking for 3 people and would be making a decision by the end of the week and would let me know either way. She was very nice, very easy to talk to, and seemed like she was happy in her job. She asked a series of questions, reading from a script, and wrote down my answers. That was a couple weeks ago and I've never heard back from Lowes. Sad, because I would have been much better with customers than the sullen cashier who checked us out this afternoon. Maybe there's still hope since its been so long......

Question 1
Describe a time when you were faced with a safety issue.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Tallahassee, FL) in Feb 2011
Interview
The interview process is long! You have to do 3 separate interviews with 3 different managers! First you have to interview with the human resources manager and she will ask you about 5-7 questions. Then you will have to interview with zone manager who is over the zone you will be working under and that manager will ask you about 5-7 questions. Then you will meet with the store manager but it's not really an interview he will just ask you a couple questions like "are you ready to be apart of the lowes team?" If you've made it the store manager then you've probably got the job!

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you were unable to help a customer. What was the issue and how did you handle it?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Lexington-Fayette, KY) in Mar 2013
Interview
If you receive an interview, it will be with the HR manager. He/She will ask you 5-10 questions. Each question puts the interviewee in a situation which they must use past experiences. Questions are what to be expected, (When have you had to work as a team to get a goal accomplished, how do you divide up the work? Who was in charge?) The HR makes note on the persons responses and moves on. In the past you would then interview with a store manager but that has changed, as of 2015 an individual only interviews with the HR manager. It will take roughly 25-30 minutes
