I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Macy's (Tucson, AZ) in Jan 2013
Interview
I applied online pretty late at night on the Macy's website. I got a email instantly saying they are going to look over my application and I will be contacted by email if I was qualified. The next day I got a email to set up my own interview time. It was really easy to set up a time and they give you detailed instructions on where, the date, and what time you have to be there. I had to reschedule my interview for personal reasons but that didn't seem to hurt my chances. I went for my interview and they asked me what I did in my previous job, Why did you chose to apply at Macy's, how would you open a macys account, and a lot of "what would you do situations". Everything went good and I got hired on the spot. I would say it was fairly easy to get hired.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Macy's (Orlando, FL)
Interview
Virtue first. Then, at the store. Interview questions are not hard but hiring manager/s are sketchy. They posted part time positions but when I got into the interview they said their looking for people wanting full time job. So unprofessional to take my time.

Interview
Basic interview process. Applied online and was called in for an interview about a week later. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. No assessments needed. I talked about 2 managers.
