Macy's Sales Associate interview questions

First of all, it took almost a week once I was notified they wanted to interview me to schedule interview. it is done all online. My interview was on a Saturday. Boy, did I surprise HR when I arrived. As far as they were concerned, they do not do interviews on Saturday. Luckily, I had my phone with me so I could show the gal the confirmation email. She then pulls it up online and sees there are 2 interviews scheduled. I had to wait 45 minutes while they tried to find someone to interview me. I ended up interviewing with a person whose English wasn't the greatest. The only position they had available for part-time was "on call." Great. I was also informed that this job had to be open internally for 7 days before they could offer it to an outside applicant. Then why bother interviewing now. She said I was an excellent candidate so we shall see if I get a call back. I have a job so this was just to earn some extra money so no biggee if I don't get hired. I just felt the interview was rushed... which is understandable since they were not expecting any applicants but, at the same time, at least make an effort to conduct an interview. My guess is the person that interviewed me doesn't interview all the time. All in all, I was disappointed in the process.
