I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at McDonald's (Keighley, England) in Jan 2013
Interview
Filled in a form, gave it to the dude in store, he rang me up, said hey bro come have an interview, i was all like cool beans bro!
On the day i wore a really nice shirt i bought from Next £6 on the sales rack. I was a little nervous palms sweaty and all that mate but honestly it went really well.
Proper smashed all the answers, every time i gave an answer they just nodded and smiled, they really liked me and the way can converse with different people.
So, ye, proper smashed it, was honest in all my answers.
MY ADVICE - TOP 3 (of 15 tips):
TIP 1 - Be proper cool, they don't wanna be hiring some nerdy geek type who cares about being all PC Plod and walking around with a calculator, they want a real proper person
TIP 2 - Don't swear! They don't like it, i didn't swear but this dude came in the store when i was being interview and was proper swearing well loud and being right harsh to this chick working on tills. I said to the dude interviewing me "aww mate, wouldn't get me doing that".
TIP 3 - Be Personable. I told them all sorts of stories about what id been getting up to in life, they loved it, we chatted for props about an hour after the interview, we got some mCflurrys out and just chilled in dining area. Gave them my full lie story, was a great experience.

What if you woke late and were going to be an hour late for your shift?
I applied online. I interviewed at McDonald's (New York, NY) in Jan 2016
Interview
Very easy, I really enjoyed the process as we talked about my love of various meats and cheeses and we talked about how to best build a burger. I let them know I am a burger expert, and before I finished by tenure at McDonalds I wanted to see a world in which I could get egg on my BigMac.
