1. Phone Screening
If your application is reviewed and selected, you will be contacted by a McDonald's hiring manager for a brief phone screening. During this call, the interviewer will ask you general questions about your experience, qualifications, and availability. They may also ask you some situational or behavioral questions to assess your problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
2. In-Person Interview
If you pass the phone screening, you will be invited to an in-person interview at a McDonald's restaurant. This interview will typically last 30-45 minutes and will be conducted by a restaurant manager or shift supervisor. The interviewer will ask you more in-depth questions about your experience, skills, and motivation for working at McDonald's. They may also show you around the kitchen and explain the different roles and responsibilities of kitchen staff.
In addition to asking you questions, the interviewer will also be assessing your personality, communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team. They will want to see that you are a positive, enthusiastic, and motivated individual who is willing to learn and grow.
After the interview, you may be asked to complete a brief skills test or assessment. This test may involve tasks such as assembling a sandwich or preparing a burger. The purpose of the test is to assess your ability to perform the basic tasks of a kitchen assistant.
If you are successful in both the phone screening and the in-person interview, you will be offered the job. The hiring manager will discuss the details of the job offer, including the hourly wage, benefits, and start date.
